I designed this flag for Adbuster's One Flag competition. It was featured as one of 32 finalists on Adbuster's website. Adbuster's challenge was "to create a flag – free from language and well-worn clichés – that embodies the idea of global citizenship."

My approach illustrates a unified world in three ways: by using individual pennants to represent the number of countries in the world, by using the colors from every national flag to fill the pennants, and by wrapping the pennants into seven rings that represent the continents. The flag illustrates global unification by pointing all nations towards a central meeting place.
